LA’s Mayor Eric Garcetti/(D) held a press conference earlier this week with the announcement that “Los Angeles will become the first major city in America to offer wide scale testing to all of its residents, with or without symptoms.” They are hoping that mass testing will help with the slowness of the spread.
The county will be opening their almost 35 testing sites for everyone who hasn’t been tested even for those who have not shown symptoms. He added that they have the capacity to test 18,000 people per day, and he thinks that it is a greater risk to let people not knowing and spreading the virus. With the latter news, we hope that San Francisco follows the City of Angel’s steps.
