Here are some resources to help upcoming graduates:
On Thursday, April 11th the Career Services and Leadership Development Program is hosting the
Spring Career Fair at the Mashouf Wellness Center. The event will be held from 12 P.M. to 3
P.M. Some employer attendees you can expect are KQED, Target Corporation, and the Oakland Raiders.
Another event to look forward too is the Best Hire Career Fair. Best Hire is known for hosting
the best career fairs in America and they are coming to San Francisco. On May 16th, tons of
employers such as Amazon and the FCC will be waiting for you to show them what you have to offer. The event is at Kimpton Sir Francis Drake Hotel and starts at 11 A.M.
If you need help preparing for these career fairs, visit CSLD’s Resume Café at SF State. Bring a
hard copy of your resume and receive a helpful critique from a team member. The Resume Café
is located in the Student Services Building and in room 301. The next workshop is Tuesday the
16th at 3:30 P.M. in Burk Hall, 229. For further information on CSLD services, take a look at their calendar so you can start planning.
But do not feel discouraged if you are unable to make any of these events. Remember you can
always check out jobs on LinkedIn or on other sites such as Indeed.
Handshake is also a good starting place for internship opportunities and full-time positions after graduation.
If you need help managing job search stress, CSLD will be discussing methods for reducing
stress and how to make the job search less of an uphill battle. This will take place on Tuesday April 30th at 3:30 P.M in the Student Services Building, room 404.
